In my family we don't buy things like sweets for Christmas, so that isn't a problem. My father is diabetic too.

In case any one wants any ideas for presents there is Diabetes UK, a years membership is reasonably priced and there is a bi monthly magazine, or if you log onto diabetes.org.uk and look for their gift catalogue, that is full of ideas.

This year for my family I am doing everyone a stocking full of usefull odds and ends. I will spend £10-£15 on everyone. The ideas are endless, stationary;toilitaries; magazines etc.

Yeah - good idea, at the very least we should all buy our christmas cards from diabetes.org.uk

Its a charity, and whilst giving to charity is always good, giving to a charity that is trying to help us is a wise move, I'd say

I agree Zuggie. I also buy cards from The British Heart Foundation and The british Kidney Patients Association as they are also places we MIGHT need!
