I am marketing head of a FMCG company and over a few weeks I am feeling dizziness, anxiety, and a dreadful sense of doom. After a recent fight at work with Boss over a marketing campaign the situation become severe. Stress is destroying my life. I don’t know what to do. Please suggest.
There is another thread about stress, have you looked at that as there are plenty of suggestions there. Some of the suggestions include doing sport, time out for yourself and doing relaxing things like tai chi, yoga or mditation.
Your job sounds very stressfull. Have you thought of changing jobs? Also it is sometimes helpfull to talk, is there any one you can talk to?
I hope you feel better, less stressed and more relaxed soon
The other thread is Medication Not Helpful Against Stress etc...
I found releif from one of my major stresses, don't use the Northern Line in rush hour. I had a week and a bit when someone else had childminding duties and I could start work earlier. It meant I could get to Euston from Charring Cross by bus, instead of Kings Cross from London Bridge on the tube, the results were amazing. Back to normal alas...
At work we are able to get regular massages. I have a 10 minute one about once a month which I find very relaxing. The therapist tells me it also helps to reduce blood sugars and blood pressure a little too. which is an added bonus, and non chemical
For help with stress try a massage. The therapist that comes into my firm is very good. She may be able to give you more details or places to look for a therapist near you.

I feel compelled to help you!!! I re-read your message and I don't see anywhere that you mention you are diabetic so I am going to assume you are diabetic since you are posting on this forum.
EVERY SINGLE DAY of my life for the last five years I have lived through EXACTLY the same symptoms that your are describing!! I am a registered nurse with over ten years experience in the E.R. and ICU. Be prepared because for the most part modern medicine does not take your symptoms seriously. Also be prepared for the doctors to tell you that it's "All in your head", that it's "Hormones", and that you will just have to learn to live with it.
I stumbled across the answer to this problem by accident after having MRI's, CT scans, Ultra sounds, seeking the help of mental health professionals ect...ect...
Lindsey: What you are experiencing is a result of a chemical in your body called a CATECHOLAMINE. Please research this chemical as you will learn a tremendous amount of valuable information concerning your symptoms.
Catecholamines are released for many reasons but one very important cause of this release is HYPOGLYCEMIA.
This will cause a feeling of anxiety, shakiness, feeling of impending doom, weakness ect...ect...
Learning this has changed my life. What has happened with me is that my diabetes along with being under an enormous amount of stress in my job (ICU is no walk in the park) resulted in a muli-system upset that includes a condition known as "dumping syndrome". (Research this as well). Doctors will tell you that Dumping syndrome without having had some type of gastric bypass surgery is rare. HOWEVER, Dumping syndrome can be almost exactly mimicked by a condition known as VASOMOTOR RESPONSE.
Brought on by what??? STRESS!
Lindsey, if I would have believed what the doctors told me I would have commited suicide by now. Multiple doctors told me that my condition was simply panic attacks and put me on a whole host of medications. I have been on Social Security Mental Disability and had to quit a high paying job as charge nurse due to this mis-information.
I hope I have helped you. If I can possibly prevent one person from suffering what I have and still continue to go through then I can die a happy woman. Please let us know how you are doing. Know that you are NOT ALONE!!
Take care of yourself.
