Take the recipe thread and turn each recipe into its own thread - better for people searching and easier to manage.

Don't be surprised if it happens in the nxt few days

I'm vegetarian too - makes life difficult - most of the 'veggie' alternatives are carb-rich or cheese :(

I'll get round to that reorganisation soon, honest

I'd be interested in a some vegetarian recipes.

I have a vegetarian early twenties son. Heck of a job finding veg sausages and stuff (what's that all about anyways?)

Still, balancing protein and carbs - or whatever it takes to get him the right balance of nutrients without supplements is a pain.

Linda Mcartney vege susages (from the frezzer cabinets) are nice and Cauldron Foods do a range of nice vegetarian sausages, usually found with the Quorn products.

While I am here, I have some lemons and want to make diabetic lemonade, anyone know how?:surprised::surprised::smile::smile:

Sheesh, this one is a bit of a pain. It all depends on which sweetener you use.

I use candrel, and use 1 per cup of tea (f'rintance) 1 cup is about a third of a pint.

Trick is to experiment. As far as I can see, it's NOT sweetener tab/ Candrel spoonful per
liquid amount, but per 'cup' of lemon juice/lime juice.

Half a pint Lemon Juice (or same of Lime juice)
    3 little Candrel tablets
2 and a half pints of cold water
1 sliced lemon (or lime if limeade)

Squeeze lemons or limes over fine mesh strainer into measuring jug. Discard pulp.
In a large jug, add lemon (or lime) juice, sweetner, and cold water. Add lemon slice, pour over ice and serve
