I am 38 years old and was diagnosed about a year ago. I did really well in the beginning and stayed on track with my diet, but lately I'm having a hard time not endulging in the things I used to eat. Maybe it's some form of denial. I wish I could stay movtivated to do what I need to do to stay healthy....................ugggg. Any ideas?

I had the same problem, but I found a solution. I did my best to find light or diabetic versions of the products I loved. Of course it is not possible with everything, but for example diabetic chocolate works for me. I also found this low carb diabetic friendly pita bread from Josephs Bakery online - it tastes great and I don't have to feel guilty about eating it. Try to do some research, there are good things to eat for diabetics and our diet doesn't always have to be boring and simple.
