Hi, I am new here and hoping to find some answers about nerve damage in my feet.If anybody can help, I sure would appreciate it. I'm tired of living in pain everyday. Does anyone know about treatments?:swingin:

Got a mate with neuropathy - showed him this post, he's said he'll mail me soon with details of the prescription meds. (UK)
I'll post when I receive his mail :)

Dray, did your mate contact you yet? Or am I being a bit of an optomist?

Well, been in touch, but, like a lot of diabetic mates, 'off net' they're poorly controlled.

I suspect that's why they're reticent about posting anywhere. Had one, looking over
my shoulder while I was checking here comment "go'won then, ignore me then, chat to
you're diabetic mates" And that's someone who's on tabs daytime, and supposed to be on
insulin at night. Talk about denial - sheesh!

Wish people would get into their heads it's not about them - it's about sharing their experiences,
good and bad to help others - heck, we're all in the same boat by varying degrees

I suspect it's because there's so much negativity about diabetes nowadays - it happens to overweight people
with poor life-styles. Apparently. No-one wants to admit that (a) Yup, it may be true. (b) It's not true, but I
don't want to post anything, anywhere that suggests it might be.

    (sigh)

and the same people expect us to help them when they need it or want it. I'm getting hard in my old age and do like a little in return too. It is about helping each other.

I have nerve damage in foot - saw many notes in vit B1 and am taking quite a big dose - pain seems to be a lot less - suggest if you try it start with low dose and slowly build up. Very cheap look at Research over the last 5 years or so.
