    hello all i did used to use a different site to chat to folks with diabetes, but have found that site has now changed far beyond what it used to be and there is a huge load of backstabbing and nastiness going on now. so i have made a choice to leave there and come here :)

    i used to use a different site but it has changed so much now and the atmosphere there is so bad i just had to go. so now i will be here quite a lot more lol

    Hi Mike,
    New around here myself but is seems to be the norm with just about all forums (forum? Forai?) that I join end up attracting people who need to objectionable from behind a keyboard.
    I have even seen some that take great pride in winding people up in the name of "promoting debate".
    I'm sure you know what I mean.

    Come across a lot of annoying people on the web too who, as you say "need to be objectionable from behind a keyboard"

    They all seem to use the excuse of 'freedom of speech'. Like that's an excuse to behave in a manner which they wouldn't
    dare out in a bar with their mates. Perhaps that's why their stuck in a dark basement with a flat nose :bigsmile:

    Not had that here -yet. It can get a bit quiet, if anything, but it's not that well an advertised a site. I use an RSS2 feed on my top bar
    on Firefox to keep track. (see side bar - if I remember I dragged-and dropped it to my top bar) Very useful.

    I was discovered to be a type two some years ago, so feel free to ask anything you like, and I'll do my best to help. I'm on Met-fartin
    500 mg daily, and I've had hypo's - so I'll do my best to help. I'm around here every 2-3 days.

    The guy who runs this site, Bestbuddy, a type 1, hasn't posted for quite a while, but it's still here, so it's down to us :bigsmile:

    Hi, I haven't been on this forum much lately, between work and being off with tonsilitis, it is time I came back.

    I know the other forums. This is a difficult means of communication sometimes and things are sometimes said with out people realy thinking. this then upsets others. I find it sometimes pays to walk away and come back and re read later, although I know some people set out in the first place to offend and upset.

    There is a different ethos on this forum, although the head honcho is not around too much, things are a little more laid back here.
