I think we need some more advertising. I am getting fed up with talking to myself. How about all of us creating some posters and putting them up in chemists/pharmacies, doctors waiting rooms, office notice boards and local libraries or any place where they will be seen. Then we will have more active message boards. It seems a shame to waste the hard work or Bestbuddy after the boards were set up if no one wants to talk. I for one appreciate the support and will be doing some advertising. If anyone eelse wants the continued support I suggest you get up and do wahtever you are able to do to get us noticed.:devil::sad::neutral::fierce::pirate::trompet::beard:

I've a diabetes appointment soon, so I'll look for permish to do that at my end. Soz virtual sis, got a poorly Bear at my end.

Meanwhile, I'd suggest little things like putting a link at the bottom of emails (otherwise called a 'sig') and doing likewise
on posts on other forums you/we might visit. I've got a few more ideas, but they're a bit more complex and I'll have to give
them some thought how best to do it. F'rinstance, I'm going to type something below which will pop up on Google Alerts,
which is an example of keeping track of a site...

    Scientific Frontline

My friend there will prob pick up that I've typed that here:)

Thanks Dray, it seems at the moment it is just you and me. I am working on posters and fliers to go up round the building I work in. My firm is pretty good and things can go up if they are not abusive or offensive or anything like tha. We can also put up things that are legal like diabtesbuddies and diaetes UK but not how to cmmit the perfect murder or how to break into the Bank of England.

Well I have been doing a bit of advertising since I started this thread and we have had one or two new members. I have added the adress to my signature on other forums I use and am trying to get other places to put up posters or hand out flyers. Hopefully we will have more people than ever using the baords, or am I being over optomistic?

Hi sweets :) Soz, not been well :(

Seems cool to me. Way back in the 70's I was one of them student anti-whatever guys, (Think Wolfie Smith) leaflets, notice boards, 10p a week card in the newsagent window, home made beermats, leaflets in the chippy, leaflets on the seats at the doctors - I've got 'er indoors doing that :)

    Takes time........

Hi Dray, hope you are feeling better. I am not neglecting buddies, I have been busy and using another busier board.

Yes, lots of good ideas. I'm working on something a bit more interesting for advertising, we have a nice forum here and it seems a shame to waste it.

Could I also point out that at the moment, if you haven't seen Sweet before, you can claim a FREE back issue by visiting the website, www.sweetmagazine.org
If anyone would like to email me (c.michael@btconnect.com) and let me know why you like diabetesbuddies, I'll include an intem in the next issue?
    Thanks very much!

Hi, I was off for a couple of days, getting various medical bits seen to. I am working on some posters to various places (including the local podiatry clinic) to raise awareness.

Forums are both like flowers and buses. The flower bit is they need lots of TLC, the buses bit you wait ages for one then two or three come along together!

I know Sweet Magazine too. Would be great if Diabetesbuddies gets a mention to let everyone know we are here. Thanks Christine. The more the merrier.
