It has been quite cold recently and there has been snow oop North. How does everyone keep warm? here are a few of my ideas. I don't do all of them, but they have a certain appeal:

stay in bed with a good book and a hot water bottle
    drink plenty of warm drinks
    hug someone
    hug the dog or cat
wear lots of thin layers of clothes
    keep active/busy
    turn the central heating up
shut all the doors and windows and don't go out till spring
    throw a party
eat lots of fun low sugar low carb foods
do lots of baking and cooking
find somewhere sunny and warm for a winter holiday

    Anyone else got any ideas?

Know what you mean. We live on a hillside. I'm looking out of my window across the garden to some hills less than a mile away
    - well, would be if I could fly. The homes and fields have a thick layer of the crunchy white stuff - there's a definite snow line.

It'd gone clean over our head - we can't be less than a couple of hundred feet lower. Sulk.

    Keeping warm. Hmmm.

Burn any Bay City Roller LP's. (or Take That/Osmonds - they last longer...)
    Add Chilli's to Chutney's.
Get five people to cuddle up in front of 50 inch plasma TV under a big quilt.
Meaty Low Carb Stew and lots of it.
    Weight Lifting
    Candlelit dinners
Visit someone else - who's got a log fire.
    Share a hot water bottle.
Ride the full route on a bus - on the back seat.
    Supermarket shop for free samples
    Fella's - wear tights under y'trousers
Do your own Strictly Come Wobbling contest

I like the visit someone else with a log fire, can I stay there for the rest of winter? I'll keep them warm too as they will have to run round waiting on me weighting for spring or summer.

Incidentaly I am at work wearing a scarf and gloves in the office....
