I know it is still November, but what plans do you all have for Christmas? I will probably have Christmas week off to do house cleaning and present wrapping but having run out of leave for other reasons gets me out of too much washing up and too many arguments...

Have any of you bought any presents yet? I still have to buy for mmy father, but what do you get for the man who has everything and wants nothing?

Well I managed to get one present for my father yesterday, I got him a CD of classical music. I still have to get something to go with it. The old favorite, chocolate coated brazils is out as he's diabetic and naked nuts just aren't as much fun, you can't suck off the chocolate....

Oh well down to slippers and socks again then!

Christmas shopping done and most of the presents wrapped. I ended up getting my dad a set of cufflinks and some after shave stuff to go withthe CD. He'll be happy having a whinge about it all, but at least he has a present to open.

Now all I have to do is organise the food, onto Sainsburys website and get it all delivered. No crowds for me thisChristmas! :

Y'know, I have no idea what I'd like for Christmas - I've got everything I need, except a BMW or a private jet, and I'm not allowed to drive....

Tho' I don't eat Christmas dinner, I love cooking it, so for the next three weeks I'll be finishing off the home-made pickles, chutneys
and preserves, pies and cakes. I know I can BUY that stuff, it's not as much fun as making your own. Designer preserves, if y'like. :jumping:

'Er Indoors can do any spending - she's good at that.....:bigsmile:

Actually I quite like making cakes and I didn't buy any, so perhaps I'll make a couple or three, fruit cake for old sod, chocolate sponge for big sod and a plain sponge for little sod. As it is quite hard work to make a victoria sponge I am entitled to a (small) slice of each!:cheer::clap::crazy::jumping::peace::rolling::swingin::thumbup::tooth::updown::fingersear::fierce::hungry::middlefinger::sleepout:

I used to make about 10 or 12 christmas puddings and the mixture used to ferment in an outside brick shed for about a week and the smell of them when you opened the door was gorgeous and all my friends used to like them very much. Don't do them now as children grown up friends have moved on one way or tother but those were the days. I have wrapped most of my presents now but some of the grand children like money my great grand children are older as well so two have presents one money lets hope we have a white christmas but not to much bye for now

My mum is always at a loss to know what to buy for people so we usually end up getting something small to open on the day and money to buy something later. My mum has 7 grandchildren, none of whom show signs of starting their own families yet!
