I like light classics easy listening and stuff from 50's through to 70's.

We have an ecelctic mix in out house, the big boy aged 22 likes ABBA & Meat Loaf, I like Cliff Richard, The Shadows,Enya, Pavaroti, Gregorian Chants, hubby likes classical, and some insturmental pop like Tubular Bells. I also have music for Tai Chi

My Bear loves Meatloaf and Status Quo. :)

I have to admit to being a Brian Ferry fan - When I was MUCH younger, and much skinnier, I even dyed my hair orange and wore one piece silver lurex suits aka David Bowie. Needed a hair dryer to shrink myself into it. Great fun :) Wandering between clubs with a young lady on each arm wearing little more than leopard skin leotards....Ah, those were the days.....

Unfortunately, I sing more like Elvis (family joke is "Oooh, it's that bloke that sounds like you Pops") Now-a-days I look like father Christmas!

    Humph! "Pops" indeed!

Bear was telling me the other day that one of the ladies (in her 70's) who she line dances with, showed her a little T'ia Chi, and she says it left her feeling a little light-headed and as if she'd had "a full work out". I'm going to have to look into that more. Enya? Excellent.

    I am into 'trad' irish/scottish/english stuff - jigs/reels/airs etc

My other half does line dancing, but I don't 'get it' I'm afraid - usually a load of elderly widows dancing to music being played by a couple of blokes from Liverpool wearing Cowboy hats and talking in cowboy accents. She'll kill me if she reads this :)

My friend also goes line dancing. She hates me asking if they dance on the lines or between the lines.

I do tai chi (even have the music for it) and if anyone wants, I can send alist of tai chi websites. There is a tai chi form for diabetes. I find tai chi a bit like taking drugs without the vicious side effects and it's cheaper. If it was ilegal, evertone would be doing it!

They also have a DVD on Tai Chi for Diabetes. It is an Australian site with a Chinese Doctor who practices Western Medicine, and is very friendly. You need to register to use the forums and to buy the DVDs and other items.
